Vendors set their own quantity limits — free add-on

Multivendor is a free add-on for Min & Max Quantities for WooCommerce. It lets vendors on a WooCommerce marketplace set their own quantity and spend limits per product.

It auto-detects WCFM or MultivendorX and adds the limit fields to the vendor product form.

Marketplaces usually mix very different sellers: a bakery that sells per dozen, a printer with a 50-unit minimum, and a maker who only ships single items. Forcing one storewide rule on all of them either blocks legitimate orders or lets uneconomical ones through.

Giving each vendor their own fields moves that decision to the person who knows their own margins and packaging, while the marketplace owner keeps the global rules and role-based limits from the base plugin as a safety net.

What problem does it solve?

On a marketplace, only the store owner can normally set purchase limits. Vendors need control over their own products' minimums and pack sizes. This add-on gives it to them without any custom code.

Key features

  • Vendor min/max/step & amount limits
  • WCFM vendor product form integration
  • MultivendorX support
  • Requires the free Min & Max Quantities plugin

How it works

Activate it alongside WCFM or MultivendorX. The base plugin's limit fields appear in the vendor product form and save to the same product meta, so vendor rules behave exactly like store-owner rules. Vendors see the familiar minimum, maximum, step and amount inputs inside their own dashboard, with no access to the WordPress admin. Because the values are stored on the product, cart validation, checkout messages and translations are handled entirely by the base plugin, and the store owner can still open any vendor product in the admin to review or correct a limit. Simple and variable products are both supported, and existing products keep whatever limits they already had.

Use cases

Use this plugin when you want to:

  • Vendors enforce a minimum order per product so small orders stay profitable to pack and ship
  • Vendors sell in fixed pack sizes, such as trays of six or boxes of twenty-five
  • Per-vendor maximum quantities to protect limited handmade or seasonal stock
  • Vendor min/max spend per product for wholesale-style listings on a B2B marketplace
  • Print, food and craft vendors who need a production minimum different from the marketplace default

Frequently asked questions

Which marketplaces are supported?+

WCFM (WC Frontend Manager) and MultivendorX. The add-on detects which one is active automatically.

Does it need the base plugin?+

Yes, plus WCFM or MultivendorX. It shows a notice if a requirement is missing.

Do store-owner rules still apply?+

Yes. Vendor product limits use the same meta as the base plugin, so all other rules continue to work.

Can the marketplace owner override a vendor limit?+

Yes. Vendor limits are ordinary product meta, so you can open the product in the WordPress admin and change or remove the limit at any time.

Do vendors need access to the WordPress admin?+

No. The fields are added to the WCFM or MultivendorX vendor product form, so vendors manage their own limits from the front-end dashboard.

Does it support variable products?+

Yes. Vendors can set limits on the parent product, and per-variation limits behave exactly as they do for store-owner products.
