Dreamfox Form Analytics

See where visitors abandon your WordPress forms — privacy-friendly, no cookies

Dreamfox Form Analytics shows you how visitors actually use your WordPress forms — and where they give up. Every form gets a clear funnel from viewed to started to submitted, with per-field drop-off, validation-error counts, time spent per field, and trends over time.

Built privacy-friendly from day one: no cookies, no IP addresses, no user agents and no form field contents are ever stored — only anonymous interaction metadata under a random identifier scoped to a single page view.

What problem does it solve?

Most form plugins tell you how many submissions you got — never why the other visitors didn't finish. Without field-level visibility, a broken or confusing field can quietly kill conversions for weeks before anyone notices. Dreamfox Form Analytics closes that gap: it shows exactly which field visitors stall on, how many validation errors it throws, and how that compares to the rest of the form — all computed locally, with no data ever leaving your site.

Key features

  • Full funnel per form: views, starts, submissions, start/completion/abandonment rate
  • Per-field drop-off — see exactly which field visitors give up on
  • Validation-error counts per field
  • Average time spent per form and per field
  • Desktop / tablet / mobile breakdown
  • Day, week and month trends
  • Plain-language insights, computed locally — e.g. "Field 'phone-number' causes 24% of all form abandonment"
  • Contact Form 7 and Elementor Forms supported out of the box, more integrations planned
  • Privacy-friendly by design: no cookies, no IP addresses, no user agents, no field contents ever stored
  • Configurable data retention with automatic daily cleanup
  • 100% free — no in-plugin premium gating

How it works

Activate the plugin and it automatically detects your Contact Form 7 and Elementor forms — no shortcodes or manual setup required. A lightweight, cookieless script records anonymous funnel events (viewed, started, field reached, validation error, submitted or abandoned) and batches them to your own database. The dashboard turns that into a per-form funnel, per-field drop-off and error counts, and plain-language callouts that flag the fields actually hurting your conversion rate.

Use cases

Use this plugin when you want to:

  • Find out which field is causing visitors to abandon a contact form
  • Compare completion rates across multiple forms on the same site
  • Catch a validation rule that's silently rejecting valid input
  • See whether mobile visitors abandon forms more than desktop
  • Track form performance trends after a redesign or copy change
  • Prove (or disprove) that a form is actually converting well before investing in a redesign

Frequently asked questions

Does this plugin store what visitors type into my forms?+

No, never. Dreamfox Form Analytics only records anonymous interaction metadata (which field was reached, how long it took, whether it errored) — not the actual values a visitor typed.

Does it use cookies?+

No. Each tracked interaction gets a random identifier that lives only for that page view, with nothing written to a cookie or persisted in the browser.

Which form plugins are supported?+

Contact Form 7 and Elementor Forms are supported out of the box, detected automatically. Support for WPForms, Gravity Forms, Fluent Forms and others is planned for future releases.

How are the "notable fields" callouts generated?+

Entirely with fixed, deterministic rules computed on your own server — for example flagging a field responsible for a large share of a form's abandonment or validation errors. No external AI service is involved and no data leaves your site.

Can I control how long data is kept?+

Yes. Choose a retention period from 7 to 365 days; a daily cleanup job automatically removes anything older.

Is it really free?+

Yes — the full plugin described here is free, with a limit of 5 protected forms. It's not yet available for download; join the waitlist via support to be notified at launch.
